Hi Everyone,
I came across this great drill that Paula Creamer uses to help with her putting. I have a GC Am Tour (Golf Channel Amateur Tour) Tournament tomorrow and I was just poking around the Golf Digest website trying to find some tips in preparation for tomorrow. I know most preparation should be done on the driving range or at the golf course, but work has taken up all of my time. Sadly my golf game has suffered immensely and I am just doing some "last minute studying" to remind me of the basics before my tournament tomorrow. Thankfully I have played in about 90% of the tournaments so far this year on the GC Am Tour and have been in the top half of my flight in most of them, but, my goal every year is to get 3 wins so I can qualify for Nationals which will be in La Quinta, CA this year. My lack of practice time has made this quite a bit harder for me. We have about 6 tournaments left so I am not too worried about it, but keep your fingers crossed for me! I hope everyone had a great memorial day weekend and all of you took a moment to remember the brave men, women, and service animals that gave their lives to make our so great. Enjoy the tutorial and wish me luck at my tournament!

Hope you enjoy.
Great tutorial. Putting is one of the hardest swings for me. But as you alluded, practice makes perfect. I also need to start practicing more.
Putting is also hard for me good tips
Thanks for the tips. Good luck in your tournaments.

Great information, I hope you won that tournament!
I also have a small series of exercises that I have built over time to be at the top before a tournament, but I would have loved to see the link to the drill session of Paula but it is broken.
Regards,
Jerome
I love that you are playing on the Am tour. Good luck. I have That same problem too sometimes. I try to cram a whole bunch of practicing on the day of the tournament. I have learned that if I just go out and practice putting for a hour a day even if it is on my carpet it dramatically improved my game.

Great drill. With this drill it is also important to use your pre-putting routine. Firstly to automate it, secondly to have some reference point on the course when you have to make the important put and know that you've made the shot several times on the practice ground the same way.
Hello,
I totally agree, Paula is a great person and love her to death! She has always been the LPGA idol of mine. Putting is always a key part of the game, at least it is for me! Check out my blog for similar things!

Putting is so important. Train your puts.
Thanks for the tutorial. Putting is definitely one of the most complicated things to master in golf.
Very useful tutorial about putting drill. This is a really good study for me, Must admit that you are one particular of the best bloggers I ever saw. We are also providing useful Golf Tips at our Minority Golf Association Website. Thanks

Nice putting tutorial! I noticed you have posted in a while, I hope you are not done :/ Keep up the great work!
Great tips on golf. Young coaches must follow these if they wish to make a grand mark in the golf arena and ofcourse winning will happen as you say! :)

I hate putting practice but really, I should do it so much more often given my terrible stats on the greens! I love anything that makes it more interesting (and even more structured) though.
If I don't organise my putting practice in some way, it inevitably ends up as a few 6 footers, get bored, try to hole one from 80 feet across the green, give up!
